Each district has a unique registration page for students and teachers that can be accessed from each District Contest page. Once they have created an account, students can log in and change information, if necessary, before the registration deadline. After students register at the district level - just log in to verify information. Teachers' accounts will remain in the system from year-to-year, but students will need to create new accounts every contest year.
All group members must create an individual account; the first student to register will generate the project/team key. The project/team key that is generated by the first registration will need to be shared with all members of the group in order to sync their accounts for a single project since all teams members are linked through the project/team key.. Please contact the district coordinator if you run into an issue with the project/team key.
Attention Teachers! If you are participating for the first time, you will need to contact the state office at BEFORE you try to register in order to have your school added into the system. Schools that participated in the 2019 contest year are in the system. If you are unsure, please check the list on your districts page on this website to see which schools are currently in our system.
Teachers need to have a completed registration prior to any students registering. Once you have completed registration, the account will remain active in the system from year to year unless requested otherwise. If you have forgotten your password, you have two options: there is a “forgot my password” automated option; or you can email to have your password manually reset by the state office.
Teachers are required to give their gender, address, phone number, and email address when creating an account.
Student projects can be associated with only one teacher in the registration system; however, all co-teachers should create their own individual account and list all co-teachers when prompted during the registration process. It is suggested that students select only one teacher for all entries from the classroom/school. The district coordinator will make the necessary adjustments for awards ceremonies and press releases to all co-teachers.
Students are required to give their gender, ethnicity, and a valid e-mail address when creating an account. A valid email must accept emails from email addresses outside of the system - an option many school emails do not allow.
The registration system will not require confirmation but will send a link for partial registrations and confirmation emails to the email listed. If you wish to have instructions on how to get Nebraska National History Day white listed on your system, please contact the state coordinator.
In order to complete registration, students must use the drop-down menu on the payment page to select Pay By Check and click the "I Agree" button.
