The Durham Museum

The Durham Museum, housed in Omaha’s former Union Station, is home to both permanent and traveling exhibitions showcasing regional history and much more. Omaha’s Union Station was open from 1931 to 1971, later becoming a museum in 1975. Most recently, the building was named one of the country’s newest National Historic Landmarks. The Durham Museum is affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute and has strong ties with the Library of Congress, National Archives, and the Field Museum.
